dear whoever is reading this, welcome to letterbox. i never expected to start a blog. i’m not really the “share my thoughts online” type. most of the time, i keep things to myself — not because i want to. but because i don’t always know how to say them out loud. sometimes, when i don’t know what to do with how i feel, i write it down. mainly in journals. sometimes in the notes app on my phone. i’ve written so many things i never meant to share. it’s easier that way. a piece of paper can’t judge me like a human can. it doesn’t interrupt, or minimize, or tell me to “just let it go.” it just holds the words. even if they're messy. and twisted up. and unsure. and somewhere in the middle of getting lost in my thoughts again, i wondered — what if someone else feels like this too? what if i’m not the only one who doesn’t always know what to say but still wants to be understood? that’s why i made letterbox. for the drafts. for the feelings that didn’t make it into conversation. for the stories i’m still figuring out how to tell. and for the person out there who feels the same way. i don’t know who you are or what brought you here. but if something in these words feels familiar, i hope you stay awhile. you’re welcome here — even if you don’t know what to say either. hugs,
